Industry Standard Updated, Raising Quality Threshold for Small and Medium-sized LCD Screens

The International Display Technology Association recently released a new version of the industry standard for small and medium-sized LCD screens, putting forward higher requirements in terms of display accuracy, reliability, energy conservation and environmental protection. The new standard tightens the display resolution error tolerance of LCD screens from ±3% to ±1.5%, while adding stability test items in a wide temperature environment of -40℃ to 85℃, and mandatory indicators for low-power operation.
The implementation of the new standard will have a profound impact on the industry pattern. According to estimates, about 30% of domestic small and medium-sized LCD screen enterprises are currently unable to meet the technical requirements of the new standard, and may face the dilemma of unsalable products or forced upgrade of production lines. Leading enterprises, with years of technical accumulation and perfect quality control systems, will more easily pass the standard certification and further expand their market share.
Industry experts said that this standard update will promote the development of the small and medium-sized LCD screen industry towards high-quality and differentiated directions. Enterprises need to increase investment in material R&D and production process optimization to enhance the core competitiveness of their products. At the same time, relevant departments should also introduce supporting policies to support small and medium-sized enterprises in technological upgrading, avoid excessive concentration and monopoly in the industry, and maintain healthy market competition.
